With microsoft word my experience has been a roller coaster. I used microsoft in a public school but once I switched to a private school it was back to a pencil and paper they were not on technology aspect. But as years went on they started to show us how to use it. Middle school they started to show us a little more. But teachers just gave us the basics how to change the font and select the size. My teachers never really focus on the important details. They just taught us how to write an essay. Once I got to highschool I kinda had to learn it on my own. With more assignments being specific on spacing and using powerpoints. Powerpoints were being used for presentation more frequently it was a lot to handle. But once I made it to college teachers walk students through and give directions in class and on paper. But once I started taken intro to technology it got really in depth. I have learned new easy ways I wished that I was taught back in the day.
Copyrighting can be difficult. Doing research paper can be difficult because of the citation and trying to word in your own words. Especially when you are submitting it online because canvas can pick up if you copyrighted. I think that the standards should be lowered and teachers should focus on it a little bit more. Yes, people do work hard for their work. But writing a large paper on a certain topic can be stress trying to be copyrighting. As a teacher, I would help students work on citations and and assist them on how not to copyright. Also help them succeed.
Cyberbullying is a huge problem. I do not take it lightly. I know people who are depressed and gave up on life. As a teacher I would keep an eye on social media and on my students. I would listen and be there for them if they need it. I would show them the right way on how to respect one another. I would be strict at least take time out of class once a week and talk about it. I'd show them the consequences and examples on how people feel. I personally do not want to blow it off and have parent come to class upset because something happen to their child. Another one is lack of funding. I would try to hold meetings and fundraisers. At least once a month. When I was at the private school that's what they did and they succeed even though that families still had to pay tuition. But the fundraisers is what us out resources and became on of the top private schools in the state.

What influences teachers is being the best teacher that they can be. Teachers today did not have the resources like we do today. To be a excellent teacher you have to use the technology and use it to break subjects down and stay up to date with it growing. Teachers have to use it because today that is all students use. People find new and easier ways to learn. They can get involved with other educators and pick their brains on how to simplify information that is easier to retain. To be a good student we use technology on an everyday basis. But we have to be smart with it. We have to be self controlled on not getting distracted with it. The technology for students make it way easier because we can find ways that helps us retain important information on the subject we have problems with.
Leader is the most meaningful. Every class, school, or teacher should have a leader to show them the pathway to success. Every student should have to someone to guide them from right and wrong. Also to look up to. Making sure that others are not falling behind and that they are focus. It does not matter what grade others are in people in this world do not have equal support in homes like some people do. Teachers should make sure that they are okay at home and do not have any problems on information that they are learning in class. Teachers should not ignore disabilities no matter how big the class is or who they are.
Digital native is someone who is born and surrounded with today's technology and knows how to use it and understands it. Yes I have seen a difference growing up but now everyone has caught up to me or beyond pass me. Like for example, in the 3rd grade I transferred from a school that used technology everyday and transferred to a school who were just learning how to use technology so I basically became the go to tech guy in the class and worked it for her to help teach the class. But now since everyone has caught up and passed me I now sometimes have to ask for help it just how things work now a days because technology is progressing.

ME!
Hi My name is Stuart Christensen III. I go by Charlie for my nickname. I am named after my grandfather and my father. As you can see I am the third generation. I am from Sarasota, Florida. I am 20 years old born in February. I am the oldest of three. I have an 18 year old brother who is a freshman at FSU and a 15 year old brother who is a sophomore in high school. I like to hunt, fish, and workout. Love the game of football played it since I was 5 years old. I graduated high school in 2017 from Riverveiw high school. At the age of 18 I became a firefighter/EMT which was one of the best decisions of my life. I plan on going to paramedic school after I graduate from FSU. I want to work for a very big department and work my way up in the chain of command.
I currently have no experience with technology. I'm pretty good with the simple stuff like Iphones, tvs, and some what computers. But I never found interest on working on learning more. I can walk people through on how to use everyday technology but I can never go over and beyond.
In this class I hope to learn how to use technology in different ways in succeeding in life. I want to inform others on how to use it and guide them. As technology grows people have difficulty. So I want to be there to help them and inform them on something new. Also make things easier for me to use while I am still at school trying pass my classes.
