I am going to be completely honest I am not a big fan of using twitter. I really do not go on social media. I know how to use it I just don't not use it at all. I guess it is the way I was raised, not allowed to use social media. It is an easy app to use but is not an attention grabber or motivating resource for me to be excited to use for school. There is nothing bad about the app. It is just a personal conflict of interest.
Doing the website design was very entertaining. I really got involved with it and became artistic in ways I never seen myself do. I have always wonder how do you create websites. This project was really enjoyable. I did mine as A 6th grade math teacher. I now know the basics of how creating a website. But I do not see myself creating one in the near future only because I am not going to be a teacher. But I can go back to it for projects or starting my own company. Here is what my homepage looks like when you open and the link.

Assistive and Adaptive technology are used to help students or individuals with learning disabilities or special needs. Not just with school but also outside of it. I have not seen a lot of people use sorts of that kind of technology. The only one I can think of is my brother using the IPAD for instructional use because of his ADHD that was hardly controllable when he was younger. I went to a small school growing up with very little classmates. The only technology we used growing up was just computer. No tablets, no IPADS, absolutely the bear minimum. But if someone was using it on the computer I did not notice it. The challenges I see is other students being distracted by the use of it. Also, other people using it and breaking something that is not theirs. These resources today are super expensive.

Hey Charlie,
ReplyDeleteIm sorry that twitter didn't meet your expectations. I felt that way towards the beginning, not knowing how to use it. I basically gave up and got back on it this semester. Im not really a big fan of twitter either but it does have a few benefits. Also your website page looks really nice by the way !
Hey Charlie, great job on your website design! Below are my evaluations using the CRAP design principles.
ReplyDeleteC - Great job with this. I noticed that some of your links stood out different from the others and allowed it to be easier for the reader to see.
R - The repetition throughout your website was consistent. I especially liked how you repeated the sky theme across each page.
A - The alignment was also well thought out. I noticed how you had the text aligned to the left and the images aligned to the center.
P - Proximity was well thought out as well. I think you group the text together nicely and made good use of the separate pages.
Overall I think this website was well-thought out and professional looking. I think parents would be excited to have you teaching their kids!

ReplyDeleteHey Charlie! I think you did a great job with contrast in your website. You had a relatively dark background on your website, so the white font really helped make the words stand out. Repetition is done as well, as you have the same background for all your tabs. with your lists you also consistently used only bullet points, which I appreciated. In reference to your alignment, I found it interesting how you used centered alignment for your about page considering it was for more than the title. you were consistent with it, however, so it works. The proximity of your information was done well. You went from broad information about you to more classroom centered and education focused material. Overall, I think you did a great job with your website. It showed some personality, which I think parents and students would appreciate in the future.
